Exo with an AoW proc does not reset your swing timer. Exo with an AoW proc is the place where 'Exo' is is in your FCFS list.

Exo without an AoW proc does reset your swing timer. Exo on its own is never pressed.

The FCFS lists are accurate, assuming all Exos you cast have the benefit of an AoW proc.
